What does a girl have to do?

So my grandfather has waited for the Astros to go the World Series since their conception. So they make it. Then what? Do they win Game 1? No. Do they win Game 2? No.

They aren't my favorite team. I don't watch all their games. I don't own any apparel or anything that has the logo on it period. But for God's sake! ( Or at least for Elmer Glenn Coussou's sake) Let the Astros freakin' win!!!!

Rodger Clemens needs to go home and WATCH baseball not play it. And if there is anyone in all of baseball's history who deserves to win AT LEAST ONE GAME in the world series, it's Craig Biggio. The guys has dedicated 18 years of his life to a mediocre team. His entire career!! They finally make it and the guy is first a bat and STRIKES OUT!

My ranting is in the name of all the baseball fans forced to watch a series between two middle of the road teams with the hopes that the nice guys finish first, just once.

Karma...Karma...Karma...Karma...Karma Chameleon....they found my blow...they found my blow

Boy George has flown back to Britain after being charged with possessing cocaine in the United States.

The 44-year-old ex-Culture Club frontman, whose real name is George O'Dowd, now faces a battle to save his lavish New York home and career as a top DJ if he is convicted on the charges, a leading lawyer has said. The gay icon has protested his innocence but will effectively be excluded from America if found guilty.

George was arrested in the Big Apple on Friday by police responding to a report the singer made of a burglary at his luxury Manhattan home. It is alleged they found an amount of cocaine in the apartment.

Human rights lawyer Mark Stephens said: "Boy George is innocent until proved guilty but if he's found guilty it could have major implications for him to be allowed into the US. He would effectively be excluded.

"If there's going to be an exception made it has to be made at a high level - the Attorney General.

"It's treated on a case-by-case basis, he would not be able to get a visa to get in. He would have to get permission to be allowed into the country.

"They treat drug convictions very seriously in America."
George moved to the United States when his musical Taboo - based on a club night in 1980s' London - moved to Broadway.

Manhattan District Attorney's office spokeswoman Barbara Thompson said the singer was released after being charged with possession of a controlled substance, allegedly more than an eighth of an ounce (five grams) of cocaine.

George is reportedly due back in court on December 19.

I Hate Poodles

ISE, Mie -- Police have honored a 4-year-old male toy poodle that can walk on its hind legs for promoting road safety, it has been learned.

The poodle, Pluto, was honored for walking around on its hind legs bearing a road safety advertisement during the national autumn road safety campaign. The dog's owner, Kimio Koyama, 53, a resident of Matsusaka, Mie Prefecture, was handed a certificate of appreciation and some dog food as part of the award.

On Sept. 21, the first day of the campaign, Pluto walked 20 meters on his hind legs over a pedestrian crossing, wearing a sash bearing the words, "traffic safety."
Passersby contacted police afterwards, saying the dog had given them renewed recognition of the importance of road safety.

Pluto walked on his hind legs into an office at Ise Police Station to receive the honor. Station head Etsujiro Kurachi addressed the canine saying, "Thank you, Pluto," and handed over the dog food prize.

"I'm happy that we were able to be of use," Koyama said. "In the future we want to keep working to enlighten the public."

Australia's population of kangaroos is conservatively estimated at more than 57 million and pose the biggest animal risk to motorists, accounting for more than 70 percent of animal related accidents in 2004.

{speechless}

Anyone who knows me knows my utter hatred for all things feet. For reasons I care not to discuss I think they are squalid body parts begging for socks or some other form of cover. So when I ran across this eBay auction I couldn't decide whether to puke or write Britney a nasty letter. I figured neither one would hardly get my true feelings across because they are deep in the pit of my burning stomach.

Britney Spears is auctioning off SEVERAL pairs of her USED DIRTY FLIP FLOPS!! At first I thought.. "Joke." But it's real. Sure the proceeds are going to the hurricane victims. But, if I was told my new clothes or sheets were purchased by the winning auction from Britney Spears dirty flip flops I would be insulted. And equally, I would feel sorry for the bastard that is so in love with the white trash "singer" that he/she paid $100 (current bid) for a pair of Britney's blackened j crew flip flops!

Sure if it was a guitar signed by TOOL or an original print Leaves of Grass, I too would get the dork bug and whip out my wallet. But the fact that someone honestly believes they are a better person for donating to the charity auction by stepping in to Britney's dirty shoes is truly baffling.

What's next the Pope's Panty line??

Daily Telegraph, UKSep. 29, 2005 Jonathan Petre, Religion Correspondentlingerie1 parties. The book, Open the Door, argues that in an age when more people know their zodiac signs than the Ten Commandments, Christians have to use unconventional methods to reverse the decline in churchgoing. It says: "What a tragedy that we are surrounded daily with television programmes, art, film and even real-life stories sold to magazines and newspapers that champion casual sex and pornography, yet as Christians we often have so little to say about it."The book, produced by the charity Activate, which is primarily aimed at women, also recommends murder mystery evenings and "pamper" parties as ways to break the ice with non-churchgoers. Other opportunities to spread the faith include knitting groups and book clubs.

The Rev Jan Harney, a Church of England cleric in Manchester who also works for Activate, said that she wanted Christians to relax, have fun and to get to know people before trying to convert them."I have not conducted a lingerie party myself, but when Bridget Jones was all the rage I know that some Christian groups were holding knickers parties," she said. "To be honest, I am not sure what happened at those. Nobody has told me."But I have held chocolate parties, at which a group of us might watch a film on the theme of chocolate, or make chocolate sweets or play chocolate-inspired games."I also like pamper parties, when we can enjoy a massage or a manicure or try beauty products. I will always end the party with a five-minute period of reflection, a sort of thought for the day. It is a way to get to know people who will never normally go near a church."

The Bishop of Bolton, the Rt Rev David Gillett, said: "They are the modern version of the Tupperware party and they are a natural way for women to meet. They can lead to a discussion of themes such as Adam and Eve and relations between people and God."The bishop said that he was a devotee of the Big Brother television show because the issues that surfaced during the programme were often more real to ordinary people than those raised in church.

Mike the Headless Chicken

www.miketheheadlesschicken.com
The Amazing, true story of this famous fowl dates back to September 10, 1945 when Mike, a young Wyandotte rooster, was about to become the dinner of Fruita, Colorado, farmer Lloyd Olsen.
With a sharp ax in hand, Mr. Olsen firmly held Mike, preparing to make the bird ready for his wife Clara's cooking pot. Mr. Olsen swung the implement, thereby lopping off poor Mike's head. Mike shook off the event, then continued trying to peck for food.
Mike's will to live remains an inspiration. It is a great comfort to know you can live a normal life, even after you have lost your mind.
Thanks, Mike!

God Bless Sony, Amen

Sony (6758.T) has apologized for an advertising campaign for its PlayStation game console which featured a young man wearing a crown of thorns with the slogan "Ten years of passion."
Some Catholics were outraged by the adverts, which ran in newspapers and magazines to
celebrate the product's tenth anniversary.

"This time they've gone too far," said Antonio Sciortino, editor of Famiglia Cristiana (Christian Family), a mass-circulation Catholic weekly.

"If this had concerned Islam there would have been a really strong reaction," Sciortino was quoted as saying in the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

In the Bible, Jesus was forced to wear a crown of thorns by mocking Roman guards before he was crucified. In the advert, a young man smiles cheekily, wearing a crown whose thorns are twisted into the geometric shapes that are PlayStation's logo.

In a statement, Sony Computer Entertainment Italia expressed regret over the reaction to the advert. It acknowledged that the "spirit of the message was misunderstood" and said the campaign would not continue.

Sony's ad is not the first to irk Catholics in recent months.
"There's no religion any more," read a slogan for IKEA in an advert to inform Italians, whose Church attendance is steadily falling, that its furniture stores were open on a Sunday.
And two adapted versions of Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper have been used for adverts that caused controversy in other predominantly Catholic countries.

French fashion designer Francois Girbaud featured Jesus as a woman with a table of glamorous disciples, while Irish bookmaker Paddy Power depicted the original Christians gambling, the traitor Judas clutching his 30 pieces of silver.

Divorce Scheduled For Early Next Summer

NEW YORK -- Ten couples who have children together and have been living together for years got married Thursday.
The group wedding was billed as "Marry Your Baby Daddy Day."
The ceremony was organized by Maryann Reid, author of "Marry Your Baby Daddy." She said she was dismayed by what she says are too many single-parent families within the black community.

Reid hopes the ceremony would help break the cycle of broken homes.
Soul music opened the wedding, with the grooms dancing down the aisle to roars of laughter from friends and family. Then the couples' children came in, the boys wearing miniature versions of their fathers' tuxedoes, and the girls wearing princess dresses.
As the brides made their entrance, camera bulbs lit up the room and mothers, brides, and even some grooms waiting at the altar began to cry.
The Rev. Herbert Daughtry married the couples, taking each bride and groom through the vows.

The ceremony ended with the couples taking turns jumping over a broom, a tradition at many black marriages that symbolizes the beginning of a new life together.
